Me & hubby were planning to get a baby but we didn't thought things went so well. Hahaha.. When I was in in-law's place, days passed by fast and I was quite nervous waiting for my period to come. It's 11th already, still no sign. 12th May ... the day that period should visit... and yet... no sign of it. I was thinking that may be we've strikes lottery by then. Dragged a few days later, went to Guardian to buy my very first Pregnancy test kit. I didn't know that I can feel so shy when choosing one. Dearly wasn't by my side and I have to do it all alone. Choosing a brand, comparing with prices and researching on what are the difference. In the end, still choose to get ClearBlue since I saw a friend of mine using that. Quite expensive... it cost around RM18 if not mistaken.
Was scared and shy to tell mother-in-law about it. Just hinted her what if I am pregnant, should I attend the cousin's wedding or not. By then, she is already quite excited but can't do anything. She just say if really kena then don't go better. Waited for 7 days more just to make sure that the test will turn out more accurate. It was 18th May... Ta-Da! Test come out positive. I was actually in joy!! Muahahah..
First thing I call hubby to tell him about my result. He was in joy too but he ask me to tell his mum myself. Haih...
Thinking left & right for another day, scared that hubby will be unhappy if I still don't inform his mother. So I just tell her one day morning that I am actually pregnant. Hahahaha... She is soooo happy and called the elder daughter. Everyone was in joy. I thought that life would be so good after that.
If calculate with Last Period Date, I am already 1 month and 1 week pregnant. No sign of any symptoms. I was wondering if I am REALLY pregnant or not. Days passes by, the 2nd week came. Slowly I do not feel good. Slowly I am not eating as much as I was yet I do not have any morning sickness. God bless me! I do have evening sickness tho... my own interpretation. When time reaches around 5pm or 6pm, I will start to feel nausea. No appetite for dinner after that but the problem is I do feel hungry and I must eat.
Everyday I eat little but many meals. Not much choices in kampung tho. Everyday bread & rice. Oh, I have not been eating rice after my 1st week. Mother-in-law cook all types of noodles for me. Little by little, day by day. It is so torturing. No appetite but always feel hungry. Have to stay put till hubby is back on the 29th May.
What to I do at home? I started to be so nervous and wanted to know so much about my baby so I started to search online for more information. I then discovered this page that can calculate my due date and also pregnancy timeline (http://www.baby2see.com/development/index.html). This is the result.
Every now and then I will visit this website just to see how is the baby growing in me. It is really fascinating.
After that, I also started to do a lot of research on which Ob&Gyn to go for. In the end, I choose to see Dr Vishnu in Pantai Malacca. We went to do my first pregnancy checkup on 31st May when the baby is 7 weeks old.
We drove all the way down to Malacca as early as 7.30am and reaches there at 8.30am. We were so unlucky that the doctor is in an operation. The nurse ask us to return at 11am. The travelling distance was so far and we made an appointment to check on hubby's mum's leg at 2pm in Mahkota. Then the nurse is nice enough to ask us to return before 4pm and she will let me jump que since we travel from so far.
After we settle mother-in-law's appointment. We manage to reach there around 3pm. Still need to wait for half an hour before it's our turn. I was so excited to see the doctor but I think the doctor is very exhausted. There were many patients waiting outside and he has not rested since morning. He look exhausted but still very patient. At first the nurse check my blood pressure, and then I'm asked to lay on the bed for scanning.
I pee-ed before I went in causes the doctor have problem in scanning. *.* The nurse didn't tell me that I shouldn't go to the toilet. The baby is very very small, as I read in the net, it is only the size of sesame. Since the baby is already 7 week, i just wanted to check if there is any heartbeat. The doctor try very hard to find the heart to check for the heartbeat. IT'S BEATING! Oh, I feel so happy that it is alive!! Hahaha..
The doctor is very serious. He told me that the baby is still very small. No need to be too happy about it. (shocked) No need to inform the whole kampung about my pregnancy yet till 3 month. And then he just ask me if I have any questions. Weird doctor but very patient in doing the scan. The doctor never prescribe me with anything and I have to ask the nurse for it. We bought folic acid and Revicon multi-vit with the total bill of RM116.
